What materials do you not accept?
What do I need to bring for recycling?
A valid, non-expired driver’s license or state-issued ID is required.
Do you accept HVAC units?
Yes, we accept HVAC units with a valid HVAC license or a bill of sale, except for window units.
Do I need a vehicle to sell materials?
Yes, a vehicle is required if you are selling anything other than aluminum cans.
Do you accept appliances?
Yes, we accept appliances; however, freon must be removed prior to recycling.
How can I obtain your current pricing? Why are prices not listed online?
Metal prices fluctuate daily based on market conditions. Please call us to obtain current pricing for the materials you wish to recycle.

Can you deliver and collect a container from my business?
Yes, we offer container services for businesses recycling 10,000+ pounds of metal. Contact us to discuss your specific needs.
How quickly can a container be delivered to my job site?
We can typically deliver a container within 48 hours or less.
Does SPORC resell scrap metal to customers?
No, due to state regulations, we do not sell scrap metal to customers.
Can I recycle catalytic converters?
No, we do not accept catalytic converters.
Trades & Contractors
What documentation is required to recycle AC or electrical components?
You must provide a valid driver’s license or Texas ID along with a TDLR Refrigeration License or proof of a professional trade license (plumber, electrician, AC technician, etc.).
Can I recycle catalytic converters?
No, we do not accept catalytic converters.
How often can I recycle metals at your facility?
You can recycle metals Monday through Saturday. We are closed on Sundays and major holidays.
Do you accept entire vehicles?
No, we do not accept whole vehicles, but we do accept vehicle components. Please contact us for more details.
Do I need to strip the insulation from my wire before recycling?
No, stripping is not required. However, you will receive a higher payout for wire that has been stripped of plastic insulation.
